Mesh Records was set up in 1998 by Beamish and John Bainbridge (Volatile Headspace) with the intention of exploring and collaborating a 'mesh' of ideas from underground DJs and producers. After four successful releases, including Mixmag's trance 'single-of-the-year' 1999, Oberon and Paul Harding joined forces with Beamish and John to form the definitive trance collective to promote the label and the music into previously unexplored musical territories.
